Being brought up surrounded by art objects (my dad was a collector), there was no escaping everything that’s comes with buying, selling and valuating art. With recent experience at several auction houses, NoraValues has the up-to-date knowledge of the current art market.

Ever since a I was little girl my dad educated me by showing objects from his collection. He had an interest in memorabilia of past times since the age of 14 and been collecting for almost 20 years before I was born. Art and curiosities at the time being only available on flea markets, via auctions and in antique shops. There were no online portals to purchase from since there was no online. ”Nora, what do you think this is?” While sitting next to him he presented collectibles from past times. ”What was it used for?” ”How old do you think this is?” ”What will it be worth?” He only stopped questioning me until I had all the answers right.
So it was no surprise I lost my heart – and soul – to art as well.
After graduating high school I found myself signing up for a study in art history. With MA behind my name, I started applying for a job in the arts. Nevertheless, I was aware of the struggle to make a living out of it so I seeked employment in a different field. By starting up NoraValues I am following the path my heart directed me years ago. Only this time I am providing you with answers to all the questions when it comes, buying, selling and collecting art.

NoraValues prefers to meet in person. When your request concerns incorporating art in your interior Nora can come to you. Sending pictures of your place is also possible but might lack the look and feel necessary to find the perfect suiting piece(s) for your home.
After making an appointment for an art consult, you will receive a form that you can fill out. Please return it at least 24 hours before the meeting so we can start right away when we meet.
If you want to sell something via NoraValues it's best to show your item(s) in person. Pictures are an option but might not be as reliable. NoraValues only sells items she can guarantee are real and in good condition. NoraValues will advise you on the market value and a reasonable price. Once we have agreed on that you will benefit from the exposure of your item on our website, social media and in the web shop. Please note that the amount of exposure comes at different rates
If you want to sell an item, please take it with you (if possible of course).
Anything else that might come in handy like a piece of wallpaper to illustrate the dominant color of your interior is welcome as well.
Nobody wants to regret a purchase or pay too much for an item. And buying a fake is something you would like to avoid. NoraValues knows the art market and the value of things. When booking an art consult it's more likely you will enjoy your purchase worry-free.
You can combine as many questions if you like. Charges for an art consult come per hour so it's efficient when you make a list of everything you would like to know. It does not matter if they consider just one item or an entire collection.
